Weekly newsletter- week ending Friday 6th June 2018.

Well done to all those Year 11’s who have been continuing to study and revise over the May holiday – the statistics from online resources such as GCSEpod are incredibly impressive with students really targeting their revision either by subject or individual areas within a subject.  GCSEpod is a very powerful resource and ideally suited to learning in KS4 so please continue to support your child in accessing this very important revision tool.

Year 7-10 have continued to work hard in their lessons and Mrs Torr from the Senior Leadership Team has been working with small groups of students as part of our “Student Voice” to gain a useful insight into their perceptions of learning here at Belvoir as part of our Quality Assurance plan.  Thank you to those students who have participated with honesty and integrity.

Next week, Year 10 Geographers head for the coast as part of their GCSE fieldwork and on Thursday it will be our final parents evening for this academic year (Year 7).

I mentioned before we broke for half term that there will be a major building project starting to refurbish the Belvoir building.  The preparation work over half term has been completed and the next phase will start w/c 18th June 2018.  Students will receive a briefing during assemblies as work commences and I know you will join with me in reminding them to follow the guidance given to them in school and if they access the academy site during weekends and holidays.

I do need to inform parents that there has been a case of head lice in academy and would ask you to check and treat accordingly – thank you for your cooperation.
