Weekly news letter-final day of term Wednesday 20th December 2017.

It’s been a hugely enjoyable last week of term and I thank all students for taking part in the festivities from Year 9 Fairtrade chocolate production in Geography (thoroughly enjoyed by Ms McGrath and the whole department………………….) to the brilliant Christmas concert.  I am extremely grateful that our students were able to have the opportunity to perform in such a beautiful community setting as St Mary’s Church which made the occasion all the more special for parents and students alike.

As we break for Christmas, may I remind all student of the importance of keeping safe over the holiday period, whether that be whilst traveling, spending time with friends or using social media.  Can I thank parents for their continued support in particular on these cold, dark winter days as they travel to and from the academy site, your consideration as you travel through the village is greatly appreciated by us and the wider village community.

I would like to end on the generosity of each and every member of the student body and the staff here who collected over 500 items of non-perishable goods which have been donated to families in need via the Grantham Foodbank.  Belvoir is a great place to learn and to work and support for projects like this are a testament to the spirit here in  the academy.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
