Miss Kate Beardmore
Kate was born and brought up in Lincolnshire, the eldest of 4 siblings.
She graduated in Law and qualified as a solicitor in 1994, initially working with her father and grandfather in the family law firm in Grantham.
After spending some time as a partner and Head of Department in a law firm in Newark, she secured employment as a Senior Crown Prosecutor with the CPS East Midlands. This has given her the opportunity to undertake a number of roles including Champion of Hate Crime, trainer in Equality and Diversity, Head of LGBT policy as well as prosecuting trials and advising the police at the point of charge, especially around Domestic Abuse.
Kate is a qualified swimming instructor and helps out at a local disability swimming club.
She has two sons and moved to Bottesford in March 2020 so her eldest son could secure his place at The Academy. Her other son has since joined in September 2025. She is always keen to give something back to the school and runs the Friends of Belvoir PTA.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys swimming, playing sports with her children and walking the family dog, Freddie.
Mrs Charlotte Davies
Charlotte is originally from Nottinghamshire and gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through Middlesex University. She is also completed a Master's degree in Education at Bishop Grosseteste University.
Charlotte spent over twenty years working in a Lincolnshire secondary academy, where she held a range of teaching and leadership roles, including Assistant Headteacher.
In 2023, Charlotte was appointed Safeguarding and Compliance Lead for Education at Leicestershire County Council. In this role, she works strategically across all educational settings in Leicestershire to promote and develop best safeguarding practice, ensuring that children and young people are safe and supported. She also provides professional challenge and support to Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and Headteachers, helping to strengthen safeguarding policies, procedures, and practice across the county.
Outside of work, Charlotte is the mother of two daughters, both of whom attend primary school. Much of her time away from work is devoted to family life and supporting their many activities and interests.
Mr Kerry Symmons
Kerry is originally from Lincoln, studied at De Montfort University until 1996 graduating with a BSc in Sport, Masters in Leisure Management and a PGCE in Physical Education. He has lived in Bottesford for 15 years with his wife and two daughters.
Kerry is a current Head of Department at his current school, and a Senior Subject Moderator for AQA. He has undertaken many international school trips and taken student-led expeditions around the world.
He enjoys staying physically active, holidaying with his family and walking his dog.
Mrs Elisabeth Taoudi
Liz is originally from France but has lived in the UK for the last 25 years. She lives in Waltham with her family. She has two children, one of whom recently finished at the Academy, and one who is still at the Academy.
Having been introduced by a friend to the idea of being a Governor, Liz became a Local Authority Governor at a primary school in Grantham before moving to the Academy. During her career Liz previously worked in two UK Universities and is enthusiastic about supporting a local school as a governor.
Liz is a practicing lawyer specialising in Commercial Law, Technology and Data and Data Privacy. She currently works for Booking.com and has worked with multiple businesses and institutions in both private and public sectors as an in-house lawyer, advising on legal, tech, commercial and operational challenges.
Outside of work, Liz is a keen traveller and a bit of a petrol head, sometimes combining both! She also enjoys being active outdoors, cycling, walking and spending time with her children and the family dog.
