Miss Kate Beardmore

I was born and brought up in Lincolnshire, the eldest of 4 siblings. I graduated in Law and qualified as a solicitor in 1994 initially working in the family law firm -with my dad and grandpa- in Grantham.

After spending some time as a partner and Head of Department in a law firm in Newark, I was lucky enough to secure employment as a Senior Crown Prosecutor with the CPS East Midlands. This has given me the opportunity to undertake a number of roles including champion of Hate Crime, trainer in equality and Diversity, Head of LGBT policy as well as prosecuting trials and advising the police on charge. It has also given me the flexibility to work part time.

I am a qualified swimming instructor and I teach all levels with Muskham Swim Club.

I have 2 sons and we moved to Bottesford in March 2020 so my eldest could secure his place at The Academy.  I am really keen to give something back to the school.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports with the children and walking our dog Freddie

Mr Gordon Fensom

Gordon is originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, and moved to Bottesford in 2002. He lives in Normanton with his wife and daughter. He also has three grown-up children who live outside the area. His youngest daughter attends Priory Belvoir Academy and started year 8 in August 2021. He has three grandchildren, with another due Jan 2022.

Since 2006, Gordon has been self-employed. He designs, writes and delivers training courses for adult learners who are drawn from a wide spectrum of commercial, charitable and Public-Sector clients. Prior to this, he spent 29 years in the finance industry working worked on several  projects across the world.

Liz is a practicing in-house lawyer specialising in Commercial Law and Data Privacy and has worked with multiple businesses and institutions in both the private and public sector for over 8 years.

Outside of work, Liz is a keen traveller and a bit of a petrol head, sometimes combining both!  She also enjoys being active outdoors with her children and dogs.
